Individual counselling
One-to-one sessions for anxiety, stress, low mood, self-esteem, grief, relationship difficulties and life transitions. A confidential space to think clearly.
I'm Dr. Chetana Nath, a practising psychologist with over eight years of experience in counselling, psychotherapy, behavioural therapy and special education. I work with children, adolescents, adults and families — at a pace that respects where you are.
About
Over eight years of practice have taught me that no two people arrive for the same reason, and no single method fits everyone. My training spans clinical psychology, rehabilitation psychology and special education, which means I can look at a difficulty from more than one angle — the emotional, the behavioural and the developmental.
Some clients come with anxiety, low mood or a life transition they can't quite name. Others are parents seeking clarity about a child's learning or behaviour. In both cases the work begins the same way: careful listening, an honest assessment, and a plan we agree on together.
How I work
Evidence-based and collaborative. I draw on cognitive behavioural approaches, behavioural therapy, and structured remedial and rehabilitation methods — chosen to fit the person in front of me, not the other way round.
Services
Every engagement starts with an initial consultation, so we can decide together what kind of support actually fits.
One-to-one sessions for anxiety, stress, low mood, self-esteem, grief, relationship difficulties and life transitions. A confidential space to think clearly.
Longer-term therapeutic work for persistent patterns — recurring anxiety, emotional regulation, trauma-related distress and difficulties that keep returning.
Structured, goal-directed programmes for children and adults — building skills, reducing challenging behaviour and creating routines that hold up at home and school.
Individualised education plans and remedial teaching for learning difficulties, developmental delays and neurodivergent learners — as an RCI-licensed special educator.
Support for individuals living with disability or chronic conditions, and for their families — coping, adjustment, capacity building and practical next steps.
Practical coaching for parents and caregivers: understanding an assessment, managing behaviour at home, and working effectively with schools.
What to expect
Pick a 30-minute slot from my online calendar, or send a short note by WhatsApp or email first. No detail is too small — and nothing has to be polished.
A first session to understand your history, your concerns and your goals. Where useful, this includes formal assessment.
We settle on the approach, frequency and rough duration together — and review it openly as things change.
Questions
Children, adolescents, adults and families. A good deal of my work involves children with learning, developmental or behavioural difficulties and the parents supporting them — alongside individual counselling and therapy for adults.
It depends entirely on what you bring. Some concerns resolve within a handful of sessions; longer-standing patterns take more time. We'll discuss a realistic estimate after the initial consultation and revisit it as we go.
Yes. What you share in session stays between us, with the narrow exceptions required by professional ethics and law — chiefly a serious risk of harm to you or someone else. If that ever applied, I would talk to you about it first wherever possible. For children, I'll agree in advance with you and your child on what gets shared with parents.
Yes. Sessions can be held online by secure video call, which works well for many people. Some assessments and remedial work are better done in person, and I'll tell you honestly which applies in your case.
The Rehabilitation Council of India is the statutory body that regulates professionals working in rehabilitation and special education. Registration means the qualification and practice meet the Council's standards. I hold RCI registration both as a rehabilitation psychology professional (PGDRP) and as a special educator.
